The punchline to the joke: It's not a strenuous journey after all.
My character "Cup" takes off to explore Blanketland. He is away from home for the first time. As a parting gift his mother, the teapot, pours a tea. Struggling up the mountains, trying not to spill the precious remnents from home, he topples over just before he reaches the top, spilling all his tea. It simulates a long strenuous journey, which turns out to be just a couple of steps from home, when his mother shows up and pours another tea, indicating he's not ready for such a step just yet. Sort of like the struggle in compare the meerkats.com
I took inspiration from Wall-E for conveying emotions without facial expression.
