500 words minimum. What can else can I possibly say... (this is 409 words)
The story of Cupids adventure is about his wish to wonder off the home tray and explore the existing world around him. All his life he has lived amongst his family on the tea tray occasionally visited by the giant with 5 tentacles. Although he loves his family dearly and would do anything for them, the thirst for adventure has a tight grip on him. He finally wants to find out what those scurrying objects in the distance are and what else he can discover away from the safe haven of the tray, away from his mother (the teapot) and his brother-cups and sister-cups. To do so he must say goodbye to what is familiar to him and leave his family behind. The dangers of the unknown are as scary as they are thrilling because Cupid is a dare-devil. Although he laughs in the face of danger, he is a kind hearted cup. He is helpful and caring and maybe a little naïve about all the things that might go wrong on his journey. He is not prepared for the world outside, all alone without a familiar face to guide him but he doesn’t think about that. He wants to take the plunge and see where it takes him. He has lived safely for too long. Due to his strong bond with them, parting with his family won’t be easy but he won’t be alone for long. Many characters that were previously unknown to him will cross his path. Some will try to seduce him and probe his morals, some might confuse him and he will lose his way but he will also make friends and learn about himself and about the world he lives in. When he encounters Mr. Sweets, the sugar pot, and Whitey, the milk jug, he will realise there is much more to his world than just his tea tray. Eventually he will find his way back to his path and return home with many stories to tell.
Before he can start his strenuous journey across the valleys and mountains of Blanket-land, however, he has to decent upon the squishy undergrowth that surrounds the firm ground of the tea tray he is so used to. This will prove as the first challenge he has to conquer. With his stubby feet and his bulky figure it will seem like an impossible task but soon enough he will be on his way across the vastness of Blanket-land.
