At first I was filming three 4th years. Each one was from a different course, two artists (one Computer Arts, one Visual Communication) and one GDPM. I decided to film these three people because I wanted a range of male/female, artist/non-artist and someone from an artist course I'm doing and another artist from a different course. Because the footage started to pile up I decided that trying to fit the stories of three people in one 10 minute documentary would be too much. I reduced it to the two artist as that is most relatable to me and my classmates. I still want to follow two people rather than one because I want to show a comparison of how different people handle the same situation.
I have now filmed the second stage, Rosie Henderson's and Aimie Willemse's crit presentations. The next step will be filming footage from closer to submission time to get that sense of tension and stress. I am still a bit unsure how I am going to put all this footage together in a funny, entertaining but also educational way. I don't want it to drag on, rather have some sort of edge to it.
