I have been working hard on my final year honours project and barely had time to tend to my portfolio blog. I have, however, taken the time to create a personal showreel that can be found under www.sgreel.blogspot.com and a showreel for the Cinesite Internship application which can be found here www.vimeo.com/geracsso/cinesite. Both showreels feature my most recent work and are therefore quite similar but the Cinesite one concentrates on 3D modelling and animation whereas my personal showreel features more motion graphics pieces. I am aware that they are quite short but in my opinion short and snappy is better than dragging it out for the sake of having a long showreel.
The breakdown for the showreel can be found on the right hand link panel of my showreel page or directly under this link: Showreel Breakdown
It explains what I have worked on for each piece and showcases each video in full length in its original state (including audio etc.).

E4 Estings - Final Animation
This was created for the E4 Estings competition 2011. I have animated the characters together with Iain McCallum. Matt West created the sound effects. It was animated in Maya 2011 and put together in After Effects by Iain.

E4 Estings
Iain McCallum, Matthew West and me have taken part in the E4 Estings competition 2011. This is the product of our 2 week labours. Quite proud of it! It's currently the top rated video on the Estings website:

Advanced Animation (10) - Final Animation
This is the finished animation for this year's module. I re-used the soundtrack from my short film True Colours, so it's completely legal and I own all copyrights :)
I got an A18 for this :D very pleased!

Advanced Visualisation (17) - Final Animation
This is the final version of my animation. It's all finished.
Unfortunately I had to turn the quality down, otherwise it would've been 650mb.

Character Animation
Flour Sack Animation
Give the video a second to buffer after pressing play. I think it's too short for flash to read it on the first go.

This is my finished flour sack animation. It is just over 5 seconds long. The sack walks up to the puddle, gets scared because he doesn't want to get wet. If he was to get wet, the flour would go lumpy. He isn't sure what to do next, turning left and right and decides to dodge (not jump over as some people interpret it) the puddle by jumping to his left. He lands on his face and slides across the ground until he comes to a stop.
Stop-motion Animatic - scene 1
This is a slower, re-edited version of the all secenes-animatic.
This is the first draft of the stop motion animatic. I included all of the developed scenes with a few sound effects.

Animated Character
This is an animated character I did for a side-scroller game concept I was working on (in a team) in second year at university.
